Rob Critchley
Managing Director
Rob worked at S Critchley for a year before going to Cambridge University. He worked in IT for 10 years before he returned to join his father and grandfather in 2008 and now runs the business with his sister Sian. Rob has an eye for detail and is able to take customers ideas and turn them into reality. He was very involved with the national association for a number of years, helping define the regulations masons have to follow when creating memorials. He has spoken on behalf of the association at the Houses of Parliament representing local masons who faced competition from local authorities selling memorials through their cemeteries.
In his spare time, Rob enjoys cycling, motor sports and helps run a local scout troop.
Sian Kinch
Director
Sian also worked in the family business prior to going to Chester University and after spending 17 years as a teacher, she joined Rob in 2019 when their father retired. Sian is a very compassionate, understanding person who works in both showrooms, Agecroft and Peel Green. She is excellent at visualising how inscriptions can be laid out and with the help of leading edge computer design software, she produces realistic drawings for families showing the layout and design of the memorial.
With three young boys she doesn't have a great deal of spare time but she still manages to help out with a local beaver colony.
Terry Rule
Lead Mason
Terry has over 15 years experience as a mason having worked with his father and subsequently for S Critchley & Son. He is a skilled polisher and carver who can accurately transfer customer ideas into reality. He leads a team of 4 masons transferring his extensive knowledge to ensure that everyone is able to create beautiful memorials for our customers.
In his spare time Terry enjoys tinkering with motorbikes and taking them on track days.
